No seasoning is required, as the enamel-coated surface is ready for use. Cooking Guidelines: Always use oven mitts or potholders when handling the pot, as both the lid and handles can become extremely hot. Cook on low to medium heat to ensure even cooking and to preserve the enamel coating. Avoid using metal utensils, which may scratch or damage the enamel surface. Do not place the Dutch oven directly on open flames or extremely hot surfaces like hotplates.
