This is an incredible and unusual whiskey. Far from the rich and heavy peaty styles, this has pear and apple flavours which mean it would be fabulous in a fruity summer cocktail. Less Old Fashioned and more Garden Fizz.

I received a sample bottle of Balvenie single malt whiskey a few days ago and what a pleasure it turned out to be. It has a very smooth flavour. I tried it neat and with a piece of ice and really enjoyed it both ways. I would certainly purchase a full bottle of this product.

Lovely malt whisky, very smooth drink. Would happily buy it again and would love to try more of the range.would also try as a hot toddy in the winter. Tastes good with no bitter after taste. Have added to my Christmas list

I felt the Balvenie Doublewood was gentle to my palet and had a smoothness which was enhanced with a pleasing hint of sherry. This hint of sherry was coupled with other complex tastes which helps the whisky glide over the tongue.

I really enjoyed this delicious Whisky. I was curious about the double wood process and it definitely makes a difference. It is smooth, subtle, yet complex and has a pleasant sweetness. It is an easy to drink whisky. It is not a peaty whisky. It has a warm, lingering finish.

I found the taste more suitable to my palate than other malt whisky I have tried in the past. I would definately think about purchasing this whisky in future.

I can honestly say that after reading reviews online and description on the Balvenie website I was not disappointed!_x000D_
This is beautiful smooth, almost honey like warming whisky. No harsh after burn at all and the gorgeous warming feeling lasts long after your last mouthful! _x000D_

It’s very smooth and tastes quite sweet and nutty. I had it on the rocks but could imagine it tasting amazing with some coke too._x000D_

My husband and myself both tried this whisky and all I can say is wow..it has a smooth taste and kind of sweet,bit like sherry but not as bad,spicey but not spicey..its smells amazing and again kind of sweet..has a warming effect and doesnt sting my lips like some whiskys..will definetly be buying this in the future.

This must be one of the best twelve year old malt I have tryed lovely and smooth means theres no need for any water or ice to be added which allows for the sweet flavours to be enjoyed and no bitter after taste
