I found this whiskey had a very smooth finish with hints of oak. After a long day in the office it was nice to sit and chill with a glass of Balvinie over ice. Really enjoyed this sample will be buying in future

I enjoy drinking whisky and when I received this bottle as a gift from a friend of mine, I was pleasantly surprised. The Balvenie Doublewood Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a 12-year old single malt, which gains its distinctive taste from the casks firstly bourbon, soft and add character to the glass, whilst the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour. Warming and delicious.

An excellent example of a gentle Speyside whisky, with mildly spicy, fruity undertones. Adding just a little water, releases these subtle flavours, and this whisky will go down well with those who don't usually drink malt whisky.

An excellent all round quality whisky. Aromatic fruity nose and a smooth finish. The double wood process makes it a stand out quality whisky. One of the best 12 year old single malts around and a reasonable price.

What an exquisite whisky, the first taste is thick and rich, then followed by a warming and welcoming feeling. The flavours don’t over power each other but hit you one by one, letting you savour each one. Beautiful!!

I tried the Balvenie 12 year old for the first time this week and wondered why I’d never tried it before. It is one of the best single-malt whiskies that I have tasted. Smooth with a slightly spiced finish, it has a very more-ish dried fruit tone,_x000D_
a little vanilla and an almost “Christmas cake” mix of flavours (nutmeg, cinnamon and something else that I couldn’t quite put my finger on) without being overpower...

This is a lovely sipping single malt, deep in nose notes giving a nice sherry and raisin overtone, with that unmistakable single malt signature. I prefer this over ice, to open up the flavour, which has a mild vanilla and sherry taste initially and light oak after taste.

The Balvenie was smooth to drink. I enjoyed it with 1 ice cube. It was light with a hint of smoke on the palate. The was a hint of light woody spices but not over pouring. Recommend it to a true Whisky fan.
