I've not tried many whiskeys, but this is in of my favourites now. Definitely will try again, if you like whiskey I'd recommend giving this one a try. Good for a whiskey drinker. Don't know much so can't really compare but better than JD

I received this as a sample to try. On opening it has an excellent nose; a rich oaky scent with dried fruits dominate. The first taste is spiced, mellowing through vanilla and caramel with cinnamon until the smoky heat of the finish, which is very long._x000D_

It holds its place among good double cask single malts respectably, not my favourite but a good second.

A perfect example of what a great whisky should be full of flavour and warmth. Intitial taste of spiced honey and fruit are replaced with mild peppery vanilla and hints of the sherry casks the liquid has been aged in. No real burn on the finish just builds a warm glow that makes you crave the next sip. A drop of water aids the aromas but best enjoyed neat after a good meal or for an evening dram (or two).

I tried this whilst sitting in the garden enjoying the late sunshine. What a nice thing to do and made more pleasurable by this most excellent whiskey. Gorgeous honey gold coulour and a beautiful sweetness on the nose. It tasted mellow, none of that awful burn and left a pleasing warmth in the mouth, with a flavour of nutty honeycomb. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

The Balvenie double wood aged 12 years single malt is a delectable flavour of woodiness but exceptionally easy to drink, either on its own with a dash of ice or equally soothing with a mixer of coke - I would deffinitely but this again.

Wonderfully rich, rounded and smooth - better than most 12 years and for a single malt is distinctive, would buy again! I had neat on ice but I imagine it would also be nice with a plain tonic as to not dilute the natural and original flavours

I was given this drink and from the moment I opened the bottle i knew there was something special. The smell was delightful, as I poured it into my glass my mouth was quivering in anticipation. As I took the first sip of the nectar my lips burst into a huge smile and my mouth was amazed at the fresh tasty "water of life", as it oozed down my throat it was like an orchestra playing the most majestic concerto to say I was excited and full of joy is an understatement!!!!

A very smooth and tasty whiskey. Slightly sweet but a lot of fruitiness with some spice such as cinnamon. My husband is usually the whiskey drinker but he didn’t get this sample. Lovely any time but it makes me long for cool autumn nights!

I like this whiskey as its not to sharp its very smooth and does down a treat brought a bigger bottle I liked it that much I would definitely recommend to a friend and family and would like to try different versions of this whiskey

When I first tried this I had it with a coke. Big mistake. It is so much better just with ice. It is also really nice with hot water and honey (my soothing drink for a sore throat). Even my husband who isn't a whisky drinker said how nice it is.
