If you're not looking for artist grade, but a good student grade, you cant go wrong with these.

I know that some experience painters out there probably only really like the expensive paints... But not I. I don't have any issues with this paint. It worked as it's supposed to and wasn't splotchy or anything. It went on the canvas like it was supposed to, (although I did paint the canvas completely with white paint previous to painting, idk why i do this, I just like to), and they colors blend wonderfully. I would absolutely buy this again.

I like this way more than their Simply tube watercolors, don't bother with those sets. I use them like watercolors, diluting them to a watery consistency, and they are relatively vibrant. Watered down, they bloom great wet-on-wet! Not chalky and quite transparent, perfect if used as WATERCOLOR. I'm not experienced with acrylic paints at all, but I know they're supposed to be thick and opaque, which this is not.

These paints are wonderful butI only gave 4 stars because when it was shipped they put the cardboard box of paints in a bag to ship and the box arrived damaged, open and tubes were loose in the bag! This was bought as a gift so I taped the box back together as best I could but it still looks like it had been through a fight. Great quality of paints but terrible shipping.

These are terrible. I am a beginner painter, but an early childhood teacher, so I have little knowledge of paints. You need MULTIPLE layers just to cover the white canvas. Worse than the paints we buy 2 year olds. They don’t dry as quick as normal acrylic, and even when you paint a second coat on a dry layer, it strips the bottom layer. Definitely not even worth the price. I will be handing them down to my 7 year old niece for back up play paint.

I would not recommend these paints to anyone, even beginners. First problem I had was the paint overflowing from the top when I used the cap to puncture through seal. Secondly, the paint doesn't spread or set well, even with a glazing medium and it dries way too quick making it gunk up. The tubes are similar to a tube of toothpaste in the sense that you'll lose a lot of product if you're not careful to push the paint upwards instead of squeezing it out. These are really vibrant watercolors! I ce across these in-store and thought I would give them a try, I don't know that I could ever go back to the traditional watercolor pallets again! I highly recommend these paints.

I've been painting for over a year now. I normally buy Master's Touch acrylic paint, Grumbacher Academy Acrylic, and Liquitex Basics from Hobby Lobby. There aren't craft stores near me so I thought I would give these a try. Worst idea ever. I'm going to the first Hobby Lobby I see to buy some new purples to fix my painting.
