    • Open the water tank lid and fill it with water through the water filing hole. Your steam iron should be cold and unplugged. Make sure you don't fill it above the maximum level. Close the water tank and plug the iron., Plug in the iron and turn the thermostat dial to the settings that matches your fabric., Use the steam selector switch to choose the steam level. For a "burst" of steam, press the large blue button on top of the handle., After use, unplug the iron, empty the remaining water, and store the iron upright on its heel once it has cooled completely.
