    • Adults and children over 12 years: 5-10 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily. Children 6-12 years: 5 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily.

    Usage Description
    • Shake well before use. Do not take more than the recommended dose. If symptoms persist after 7 days, talk to your doctor.
    Side Effects
    • Gaviscon can cause constipation, diarrhoea and flatulence. If you experience any of these side effects, stop taking the medicine and talk to your doctor.
    How it Works
    • Gaviscon works by forming a protective barrier on top of the stomach contents, which prevents stomach acid from flowing back up into the oesophagus. This barrier is formed when the liquid comes into contact with the stomach acid.

    • Do not take more than the recommended dose. If symptoms persist after 7 days, talk to your doctor. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not take if you have kidney problems. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
