Not happy rusting
Disappointed, we have been using this kettle for a few weeks, initially it made the water smell a bit like plastic once boiled. It has already started rusting on the base. We use filtered rainwater so it unlikely to be the water quality.

Light-up blue, glass Mellerware 1.8L kettle
Best purchase within price range. And I like the extra-up of the lid to really open the kettle, making it easier to pour in water, while keeping the lid out of the way. The power button fits in sleekly with the rest of the handle. For those of us unable/unwilling to pay R900+ for a kettle, this one is it.
