PRODUCT INFORMATION Safeguard your energizer against lightning strikes by installing the Nemtek Double Pole Lightning Protection unit. Lightning can cause serious damage to your energizer. When lightning strikes close to (or directly on) an electric fence, it causes a massive surge in voltage which flows back to your energizer. To avoid this during an electric storm the energizer will have to be disconnected from the fence line and from the mains’ power supply, which is not recommended nor practical as the perimeter security will be compromised. A practical alternative to this is to install the Double Pole Lightning Protector on your electric fence system. The Double Pole Lightning Protector offers a two-pronged approach. Firstly, it inhibits the lightning surge from damaging the energizers and secondly it diverts any lightning surge away from the energizers into the ground through the earth spikes.
