ProShield Floor Epoxy is a high-performance, floor coating designed for use in residential garages, storage areas, and light industrial spaces. Its resilient, high-solids formulation offers superior durability compared to standard water-based paints and common DIY alternatives. This unique polymeric emulsion provides long-term protection against water and chemical absorption, making it easy to clean and maintain, even in demanding environments.
Recommended Applications by Layer:
• 1 Layer (120-170 microns):
Ideal for light-duty use - residential garages, storage areas
Good hot-tyre resistance
• 2 Layers (240-340 microns):
Suited for regular vehicle traffic and fork-lifts
• 3 Layers (480-700 microns):
Heavy-duty performance for large trucks, busses, and industrial use
Key Features:
• Water-resistant, chemical and solvents resistant (e.g. fuels, oils, brake-fluid etc.)
• Easy to clean - maintains gloss and hardness after repeated washing
• Cures at Low temperatures down to 10 C at 85% humidity
• Hot-tyre pick-up resistance in 48hrs to 3 days for Light to Heavy traffic respectively (25 deg. C)
• Touch-dry in 6-8 hours (depending on temperature)
• Designed for 1 to 3 layer roll-on application or up to 2mm pour-and-spread
Technical Performance:
• Bond Strength: Up to 3 MPa (435 psi) on dry cement surfaces
• Typical Test Result: Substrate breakage during adhesion testing
Application & Coverage:
• Mix Ratio: 2:1 (Resin : Hardener by volume)
• Pot Life: 1 hour @ 25 deg. C
• Spread Rates: 5 - 7 m per litre (roll-on)
• Solvent Dilution for spraying (Optional): Up to 200 ml Xylene per litre for spray or thinner coat applications
Cure Schedule @ 25 C:
• Touch-dry: 6-8 hours
• Foot traffic: 12-16 hours
• Light vehicles: 24 hours
• Heavy traffic: 3-5 days
• Full cure: 7 days
