Bought 2 Ryobi sanders/polishers, work not even one hour, the gears start to slip on both of them

Bought this and it damaged paint on both of my vehicles. Very disappointed in this polisher.

With extra brushes good machine

I am happy with the quality of the Ryobi1200 sander and polisher; variable speed allows very slow speed to very fast; perfect for both polishing and sander applications. The only issue is that the velcro disc size is 17cm, and its not possible to find sanding discs in this size; closest is 15cm.

Bought this Ryobi today 22 April to use to polish a spray paint job I did. Right from the word go it was terrible. Vibrated way too much and speed wasn't consistent. Within 30 minutes of attempting to use it the motor burnt out. Rubbish quality. Won't be buying anymore poor quality Ryobi products!
