Basic but decent especially for the price.. Silent when new but seat does start to get loose with riding and the manual hand tensioner just isn't adequate to prevent this. Ensure you inspect the stitching on the seat before you take it away. Challenging to assembly at first but don't be shy to pull on the wire that's attached to the tension mechanism to assemble..The unit is sealed quite nicely to prevent dirt and dust from getting into the mechanic components.
